In the key of C for example, you will have the A minor scale as the root scale in the key of A minor (parallel key to C), which has the exact same notes but starts from the new root A.
C major scale: DO, RE, MI, FA, SO, LA, TI, DO
A minor scale: LA, TI, DO, RE, MI, FA, SO, LA
