introduction

This site doesn´t aim to explain a whole lot of music theory or provide any discussion on in what way you should or should not follow certain musical traditions.

So instead of explaining the circle of fifths, the modes, jazzy altered scales or cromatic passing tones, I will simply provide you with practicing material.

But since the 12 keys are an essential part of musical practice in our (western) modern world, and one of my own personal motives for making this page is to get comfortable within these keys, i have organised the major part of the exercices in a format where you will get them transposed to all 12 keys.

Certain exercise will appear in different places, with different functions, due to the nature of music… for example is a Dm7 chord both the II-chord in the key of C AND the III-chord in the key of Bb, so you´ll find the Dm7-arpeggio (RE, FA, LA, DO) in both keys, but on the background of different scales !

for more info on music theory, please check out other sources 🙂

I WILL START BY DEVELOPING THE PAGE FOR THE KEY OF C

LATER I WILL PROVIDE THE OTHER KEYS AS SOON AS I AM HAPPY WITH THE STRUCTURE….
